About Us

Introduction

Association for the Welfare of Intellectual Handicapped (AWIH) is a non-governmental, non-profit making developmental organization, committed to making lasting positive change in the lives of intellectual handicapped.

AWIH is registered (Reg. No – 540/061/062) in the Kathmandu District Administration Office and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (Affiliated. 17761/061/062). It's PAN number is 302021567 and AWIH has got Tax free paper from Tax Office. It is a social and right based organization. Specifically, AWIH is an organization jointly run by the parent/Guardia of intellectual handicapped children and social activists who are involving direct and indirect in this field over one decade. An organization is dedicated to uplift the living standard of the intellectual handicapped. It is struggling to adjust in mainstream those isolated sphere of the society as well as to reduce the ratio of the intellectual handicapped people by national wide awareness campaigning.
