AWIH began its activities starting from working one district Kathmandu. AWIH is focused in following activities :

• Day care centre for intellectual handicapped Children.
• Home visit programs.
• Create social education.
• Integration and inclusion of children with intellectual handicapped in general and special school.
• Counseling.
• Parent /guardian meeting on Intellectual handicapped issues.
• General health check-up.
• Sensitization and awareness program on Intellectual handicapped issues.
