Aims & Objectives

Target Group of AWIH
All types of people with intellectual handicapped in Kathmandu Valley.

Vision
To reduce the Intellectual handicapped people from Nepal.

Mission
To reduce the Intellectual Handicapped people from conduct various activities about intellectual handicapped.

Goal
To create awareness to reduce the ratio of the intellectual handicapped children and early intervention service for intellectual handicapped children.

Strategic objectives
In line with its strategic, AWIH has set the following objectives :

  • To create awareness in the different level of stakeholders and change misconception, negative attitude & practices.
  • To reduce the impact of impairment and disability.
  • To produce special education and skills develop training to intellectual handicapped children and people.
  • To enhance the living standard of the impoverished intellectual handicapped families.
  • Inclusion and participation of children and person with intellectual handicapped in the main stream of society by providing special education services.
  • To run orphan home for orphan children and impoverished intellectual handicapped children.
  • To campaign advocacy for ensuring better condition in the society for living through legislation and government policies.
  • To calls for all concerned organization to join hands on address the course of fulfilling the rights of children and persons with Intellectual handicapped issues in Nepal.
  • To strength sustainability of the program and organization through various fundraising measures.
  • To participation of the fundamental human right of Intellectual handicapped issues people.
  • To organize workshop seminal on Intellectual handicapped issues.
  • To organize art demonstration for the Intellectual handicapped children.
